Request your Northfield interior estimate
Request a Northfield interior estimate through the form, call 224-395-4544 or email brushandbrightpaint@gmail.com. List rooms, included surfaces and access or condition concerns. Name and email are required; phone is optional. Keep cabinet work separate if you also want it considered.
SMS consent is optional. Leave the checkbox unchecked if you do not wish to receive text messages. Read our Privacy Policy.
Set the boundaries at doorways and adjoining rooms
A hallway may meet several door faces, while a ceiling may continue into another room. Decide which side of each boundary belongs in the project. Describe built-ins or other detailed features separately for assessment. Repainting a room should not silently include its closets, every door face or woodwork you intended to preserve.

Describe preparation by the appearance you expect
Point out dents, patches, cracks and stains, including concerns visible in normal room lighting. Ask which preparation is included and what more extensive correction would mean for the scope. Painting cannot resolve an ongoing moisture problem or guarantee every old irregularity disappears. Unknown finishes or recurring damage may need further assessment first.

Choose color and sheen for each surface
Compare samples beside retained flooring and woodwork under the lights you normally use. Discuss the finish for ceilings, walls and painted trim separately. Appearance and cleaning needs matter, but greater sheen is not a substitute for surface preparation. Where you want a match to existing paint, discuss its limits rather than assuming a touch-up will disappear.

Agree how the rooms will remain usable
Explain essential passageways, bedrooms or workspaces, and identify heavy furniture or items needing special handling. Confirm who moves belongings, what protection is planned and how work will be sequenced. Ask about use and cleaning for the selected coating. Other repairs or trades should be included in the timing discussion before arrangements are fixed.

  • Can stained trim remain while walls change?
Yes. Identify retained woodwork clearly and agree the paint boundary and protection.
  • Are both sides of every door included?
Only if specified. Door faces, edges and frames should be identifiable in the scope.
  • Does new paint guarantee smooth walls?
No. Existing texture, repairs and the accepted preparation affect the final appearance.
  • When can furniture return against the wall?
Request guidance for the chosen coating rather than relying only on how dry it feels.
