Confirm the home’s construction year first
This service is for homes built in 1979 or later. Homes built in 1978 or earlier are outside the offer, even if their current windows were installed more recently. Include the year and where it came from, such as an assessor or construction record. If the year is unknown or records conflict, eligibility must be established before the request can proceed. Do not remove trim, scrape coatings or dismantle a window to investigate. The year cutoff is a service boundary, not a claim that every newer home is hazard-free.
Describe the window and the existing opening
Number the windows and describe operation, deterioration or condensation between panes. Include existing safe photos and approximate dimensions as initial information, not final ordering measurements. State whether you want a complete replacement or are asking about a sash, frame or glazing component; those are different scopes and are not automatically interchangeable. Existing-frame suitability, surrounding condition and manufacturer instructions need review. Enlarging openings, changing structural framing, creating new openings and repairing concealed structural damage are excluded.
Review the product and local requirements before ordering
Share the proposed manufacturer, model, operating style, frame specification and glazing details. Identify bedroom locations and other circumstances that may affect applicable requirements. Do not assume a same-size product automatically meets them or will fit. Applicable Mount Prospect licensing and permit requirements are checked before work is accepted. Confirm the project’s permit and inspection requirements with the Village, agree responsibility for them and obtain required approvals before work starts. Review any product change before purchasing.
Agree the interfaces, finish and household arrangements
Identify interior casing, sills and exterior finishes you want retained, and disclose known leaks or damaged surrounding materials. Review the appropriate installation and weather-sealing details for the selected product and actual conditions; do not treat caulk alone as a remedy for an unresolved leak. Clarify removal, disposal, material supply, trim work and any paint touch-up separately. Exact finish matching is not promised. Discuss floor-level access, furniture, window coverings and safe working space. If unsuitable or unexpected conditions are found, pause and review the scope rather than conceal damage or expand into structural work.

Mount Prospect Service Questions
Discuss an eligible Mount Prospect window replacement
Use the form, call 224-395-4544 or email brushandbrightpaint@gmail.com. Send your city and Mount Prospect address, home construction year and supporting source, and a numbered window list by room, wall and floor with priorities. Only verified homes built in 1979 or later qualify; unknown or conflicting age must be resolved before acceptance. Include safe existing photos, approximate dimensions for initial review (not ordering), operation or leak concerns, proposed model/product links, frame/glazing details and retained trim or finishes. Do not remove trim, scrape coatings or dismantle windows for an estimate. Explain the desired replacement scope, material supply, removal/disposal, separate finish work, parking, stairs, building access, window coverings and workspace clearance. Suitable existing openings only; no enlargement, structural alteration or concealed structural repair. Confirm applicable licensing, permits, inspections and responsibilities before work. Product availability, approved scope, site conditions and weather inform scheduling; preferred dates are planning requests, not completion promises. Name, email and request are required; phone is optional. Ask how to share existing safe photos.
