Request your Wilmette cabinet estimate
Tell Brush & Bright what you want your Wilmette cabinets to look like and what you know about their current finish. Use the estimate form, call 224-395-4544 or email brushandbrightpaint@gmail.com. Phone entry is optional; include the components and concerns you want reviewed.
SMS consent is optional. Leave the checkbox unchecked if you do not wish to receive text messages. Read our Privacy Policy.
Compare refinishing options with the cabinets you have
Describe more than the new color
Look at grain, existing texture and old repairs you can already see. Say whether the goal is a color change alone or a different surface appearance. Painting does not automatically make textured material glass-flat. Compare expectations with the proposed preparation instead of assuming a photograph or application method guarantees the result.

Resolve condition and adhesion questions first
Provide the material and previous finish if known. Ask how cleaning, compatibility and adhesion will be assessed before coating, including any appropriate test area. Lifting layers, swelling or damaged components may require separate attention or make the proposed work unsuitable. Do not scrape an unknown finish to prepare for the inquiry.

Use the estimate to define the finished cabinet
Counted doors are only part of the scope. Include the faces, edges, frames and exposed panels you want changed; identify interiors and other retained surfaces. If you want different finishes on selected components, describe that as a request for assessment rather than assuming every combination can be provided. Hardware changes need explicit agreement.

Plan the practical side of the update
Ask how doors and fronts will be managed, what needs clearing and which kitchen areas can remain in use. Discuss protection and where the work will take place without assuming an off-site process. Before using or cleaning the finish, obtain instructions for the chosen coating and the agreed reassembly arrangements.

  • What if I do not know the cabinet material?
Say so. Photos and a description can begin the discussion, but do not settle every suitability question.
  • Can painting repair a lifting surface layer?
Not by color change alone. Its cause and the component’s condition need assessment.
  • Will one coating suit every existing surface?
Do not assume that. Compatibility and preparation must be considered for the actual materials.
  • Does the estimate include replacement handles?
Only when explicitly agreed; hardware and related changes are separate scope decisions.
